King's Indian h3+Bg5 Averbakh Variant-TWIC 958

TWIC 958
GM Kozul,Z won a tense King's Indian battle but had to work hard. the game had to be won twice, the second time with some cooperation from black. The opening was an unusual h3-Bg5 Averbakh variant which I was previously not familiar with.

Here is the feature game.

Kozul,Z (2608) - Posedaru,B (2337)
King’s Indian h3+Bg5[E71]
Karpos Open 2013 Skopje MKD (5.30), 12.03.2013

Position 1
The position is a typical complex King's Indian fight. Black has just blocked Qd2 from the kingside. What do you suggest for white?

White to Play

20...Rf4

Position 2
White has an extra exchange but the problem of how to convert it remains. What do you recommend for white?

White to Play

40...Qd4
